Valley of Peace, Belize (WBWTN) - This morning shortly after 9:00 a.m., police responded to a road traffic accident on Valley of Peace Road involving a green truck with trailer reportedly belonging to Santander.
The truck had toppled onto its side along the right side of the road while heading toward Valley of Peace. According to authorities, the truck was being driven by a 29 year old Belizean man, a resident of Ontario Village, who is employed as a truck driver for Santander.
Initial investigations revealed that the driver was en route to Santander when, upon navigating a curve, the weight of the load in the trailer caused the truck to flip onto its side.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the scene was secured by police shortly after the incident.
Authorities continue to remind drivers to exercise caution, especially when transporting heavy loads on winding roads.
