Belize Rural, (WBWTN) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Monday morning in the village of Double Head Cabbage, Belize District.
Around 6:52 a.m., police received reports of gunshots in the area. When they arrived, they found a man dead near a bus stop. He was later identified as Aaron Lindo.
Reports say Lindo was walking toward the bus stop when two gunmen came out from behind nearby bushes and opened fire. He was shot multiple times and died on the scene.
No one has been arrested so far, and police are still gathering information.
Lindo was said to be connected to the PIV and Backatown gangs in Belize City, though police have not confirmed whether the shooting was gang-related.
