(WBWTN)- Belize has lost another rising star. Deon Ogaldez, better known in the music world as Concego, passed away on Sunday, April 20th, 2025, at the age of 35. His untimely death has left fans heartbroken and the local music community in mourning.
According to reports, Concego was involved in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, April 17th, around 10:00 a.m. He was traveling on a scooter motorcycle along the Hummingbird Highway near the outskirts of Belmopan when he reportedly experienced a mishap and fell off his bike. Emergency services transported him to the Western Regional Hospital, and due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) in Belize City.
Doctors listed him in critical condition, and sadly, he was later placed in a coma.
At this time, investigations are still ongoing to determine whether Concego collided with another vehicle or if he lost control of the motorcycle on his own. No conclusive details have been released.
Despite medical efforts, Deon Ogaldez passed away around 4:55 p.m. on Sunday, April 20th, at KHMH.
Concego’s music touched the hearts of many, and his passion for his craft was evident in every performance. As news of his passing spreads, fans, fellow artists, and friends are taking to social media to share their condolences, memories, and favorite moments.
His presence, energy, and voice will be deeply missed, but his music will continue to live on.
