(WBWTN) - A deadly traffic accident rocked Belmopan late yesterday afternoon, leaving one man dead and another woman injured.
Around 4:09 p.m., police responded to reports of a serious crash on George Price Boulevard. When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Skyler Williams and his 26-year-old female passenger severely injured after a violent collision between their motorcycle and a white Foton van.
According to reports, Williams was attempting to make a left turn into Golden Phoenix Supermarket when the motorcycle slammed into the left front side of the oncoming van, which was being driven by a 47-year-old woman.
Williams sustained catastrophic head and body injuries, while his passenger suffered scratches and complained of rib pain. Williams and his passenger were both taken to the Western Regional Hospital. Tragically, Williams died while doctors fought to save him.
The investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing as police work to determine exactly what went wrong.
